All Hallow's a Little Early
Just wanted to share this, the first pumpkin of the season. This one was K's choice...it's Mumbles from the upcoming movie Happy Feet. Yeah, I know, jumping the gun a bit, since it isn't even in theatres until November.
So why Mumbles? I was feeling charitable, so I let her pick the design. She wanted a Pug dog. I refused. We settled on this instead. The girl likes penguins, what can I say? Enjoy!
Who knows, since we did this so early, I might have another pumpkin to post before Hallowe'en.

Cool pumpkin. I may have to get you to do mine! And yeah, chicks dig penguins. Think I'm going as a penguin for Hallowe'en this year. ;)
Nicely done! It's adorable...
Very nice, though I think a pug pumpkin would be freaking cool.
Thanks guys!
Henly: Tell ya what, email me and let me know what you'd like, and I'll make a template for you to use. 'Cuz hey, the carving part is too much fun to outsource it. Then print it, stick it to the pumpkin, trace the lines using a thumbtack and cut away. I've got a nice and easy Slimer template from two years ago, if you're interested. It's a good starter design for someone who hasn't tried to carve a picture pumpkin before.
Heather: Cool, maybe. But wrinkles = BAD. Pretty hard to carve and I wanted to do something simple this year. Maybe next year. ;)
Oh yeah, and Henly chimes in with the semi-obscure Belgian 90's-band lyrics! Well done, sir!
hey whatever happened to you updating us on your trip to Peru!??
